Carlton Hotel Singapore is a prominent independent luxury hotel situated at 76 Bras Basah Road, in the heart of Singapore’s Civic District. The site where Carlton Hotel now stands has a rich history. In the early 20th century, it was home to the Caledonian Hotel, which ceased operations in the 1910s. Subsequently, several other establishments occupied the space, including the St. George Hotel, Oriental Hotel, Metropole Hotel, and Rex Hotel. In 1948, the Mountbatten Club took over the site. Eventually, the Carlton Hotel was established on this historically significant location.
